Q. One day the Greeks were worshipping Aprodite, Zeus, and Hercules. Now, the religion in Greece is Greek Orthodox. At what point in Greek history did monotheism replace polytheism.

A. Classical greek paganism existed throughout much of classical Greece's history. It was only during the Roman era that they saw the spread of monotheism, first in the state mandated devotion to Sol Invictus, then to Christianity. It was not a singular process, but a long, drawn out affair that took centuries. Much of the Roman Pantheon was based off of the Greek ones. Like modern Europe, Greece was considered the primogenitor of civilization, thus were a highly insular society, holding the rest of the world, including their Roman masters, as unwashed brutes and barbarians. A. From what you wrote, it seems that your ordinary place of residence is Albania. Despite the fact that you are of Greek origin/nationality/ethnic ity, you will probably be classed as a "overseas" (i.e. non-EU) student. This means that you will probably not be eligible for funding by the UK government. You might be eligible for funding students from the Albanian or Greek governments. For information about the scholarships opportunities offered by the Greek state, have a look at www.iky.gr. The Greek Orthodox Church also administers a number of educational trusts, so you might want to ask them for information. What character in Greek mythology has powers to do with weather and tornadoes?
Q. I'm making up a myth for a school project on Greek Mythology. I am saying that tornadoes are created from all the birds of the sky and fish of the sea and animals of the earth flying/swimming/running in a circle, in the same direction at the same time, same speed. Anyways, I need to include some characters in my myth that relate to the natural occurrence. Any help or ideas would be great, thanx!

A. Poseidon and his brother Zeus are both gods of weather, Zeus controls the skies, and his brother controls the seas. These two forces as most scientists will say, cause the most of the worlds weather, and especially the storms, such as tornadoes and hurricanes. A little know fact about Poseidon is that he also controls the earthquakes that rattle the world.
